Gus Kenworthy

Hyped for X Games Oslo this weekend but still wondering what the hell it is? Don't worry, we've got some answers.

In a year chock full of Hollywood-ready storylines and epic narratives, Olympic freeskier Gus Kenworthy's surprising—and potentially paradigm-shifting—decision to come out was, by a wide margin, the most important. In an action sports world predicated on individuality and facing one's fears, we think it's fair to say that this moment stood head and shoulders above the rest.

Dew Tour went down in Breckenridge, Colorado this past weekend and capped off the 2015 year. Despite most of the U.S. seeing above-average temps and nearly breaking records, Breckenridge did its part by providing some heavy snow for the best in the world to do their thing in it.

December is always a good time to reflect on the year that has been—and what a year 2015 has been! World firsts, record breakers, and tons upon tons of tires slayed are only a few of the incredible moments that went down this year. To commemorate the year that was, we're launching the first-ever Network A Awards to give props where props are deserved.

Check out the categories (and finalists) below and let us know who you think should win! Here's to 2015 wrapping up with a bang and going right into a great year for 2016.

Professional Freeskier Simon Dumont's annual Dumont Cup in Sunday River, Maine is a unique open-format slopestyle event offering up-and-coming freeskiers the chance to face off against the best in the game. Gus Kenworthy and X Games Ski Slopestyle Gold Medalist Nick Goepper lead the charge throwing down from the qualifiers to the finals with Nick Goepper taking first place. Simon keeps good vibes throughout the week hosting a dinner at his house and treating the top three finalists to celebratory laps at the Team O'Neil Rally school!
