People reacting to a Tesla P85D accelerating in "Insane Mode" is priceless

Who other than Elon Musk would put an "Insane Mode" on a car? The Tesla P85D houses 691-horsepower and goes 0-60mph in 3.2-seconds, which creates a lateral acceleration of 1G. Dropping this rocket-like propulsion on unsuspecting people will certainly create some insane reactions. So that's exactly what DragTimes did, and the results are quite comical.

Tony Hawk's Tesla Model S is great for filming skateboarding

The legendary skater discovered untapped features in his new electric car.
Tony Hawk just picked up a new toy, a Tesla Model S. The state of the art electric car can go 125 miles per hour and has zero emissions. There is another feature that Hawk found particularly appealing, an HD backup camera. Instead of using the camera to see how close someone was tailgating him, Hawk realized the camera could be used to film skateboarding.

The new Formula E all-electric race car are really good at donuts

Formula E is a new racing series from the people behind Formula 1 that will debut in September 2014. The idea is to create race cars powered entirely by electric energy, and one of the first models recently debuted at CES in Las Vegas. The Spark-Renault SRT-01E is has zero emission and can reach a top speed of 140 mph. The Formula E car can also go from 0-62 in an estimated 3 seconds. But at CES, all anyone cared about was seeing it do a bunch of donuts. Not that we're complaining.

17 license plates that prove Tesla owners REALLY love their cars

Tesla owners really love their electric cars. And many of them purchase vanity license plates to let the rest of the world know just how awesome their Teslas are.

For loyal South Park fans, these license plates may remind them of the episode where the Broflovski family purchases a hybrid car and then moves to San Francisco where they meet like-minded families who are so smug that they smell their own farts.

This Tesla Model S P85 confuses a Dyno into an improper torque reading

Tesla owners really love their cars—their license plates are proof of that. And here's just one more reason for them to love their electric vehicles: they can confuse Dyno machines.

Emmanuel out of Alberta, Canada hooked his 2013 Tesla Model S P85 up to a Dyno and let 'er rip. Since it doesn't have a transmission, the Dyno quickly became confused by the constant power and maxed out on the torque reading. It said it only had 2,000 ft-lbs of torque, but in reality it's got something closer to 4,300 ft-lbs. Stupid Dyno.

What do you think of this confused Dyno? Tell us in the Comments.
