His introduction to BMX is straight out of a Charles Dickens' story.
BMX legend Jamie Bestwick grew up in a small town in England called Langley Mill. In the latest episode of Crooked World BMX, Bestwick shares some of his earliest BMX memories from Langley Mill. You know how all American grandparents tell stories about walking four miles to school in the snow? Well, in England it seems like that brand of nostalgia always involves coal. Bestwick's first BMX ride was on a coal road near his house. He borrowed his friend's Tomahawk bike and pedaled down the coal road and launched over a drain cover. Catching that first air proved to be a life-changing experience for Bestwick.
