But none of them more insane then the time he traveled to Canada in 1999 for an ACL and PCL replacement known as the Lars Ligament that was not legal in the United States. Chad Reed returns from injury. Two-time Supercross Champion Chad Reed was ranked #2 in the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross series when disaster struck heading into Round 7 at Dallas. Reed and Villopoto were battling for first in the final lap of the main event when Chad went over the bars on a triple set breaking two ribs, his T6, tearing an ACL, fracturing his tib/fib, and ending his Supercross season. Just under 6 months later, Chad Reed is back on his bike and looking ahead to the 2013 Supercross season!
