Bucky Lasek

While cruising the 2015 New York International Auto Show, Timbo and the Dose crew ran into skate legend Bucky Lasek, who was on hand to help launch the new Subaru STI Performance concept car and show off his sparkling GRC-ready whip. We got him to break down what it's like being the only person in the world living the dual dream of being a pro skater and pro rally car driver at the same damn time, and (spoiler alert!) it's more work than you'd think. If you like to flatspot urethane and slay rubber, then this one is for you.

With a score of 90 on his final run, Lasek rocketed up from last to first at X Games Munich.
Bucky Lasek is 40 years old. Forty friggin' years old. And he just won his third consecutive gold medal in skate vert at the X Games. That's just crazy. Lasek was sitting in last place at X Games Munich before his final run. Then he proceeded to unleash a flurry of incredible tricks, including a nollie flip Madonna. Lasek was rewarded with a score of 90 and won the gold. He has now won every vert contest at the X Games this year.

Bucky Lasek's private pit is a monster and has some of the biggest walls anywhere. Trying to slay the dragon is Kimbel, Effertz, Partanen, and a cameo from Zach Miller.

With age comes wisdom. Bucky Lasek, 40, is going to be the oldest skater competing at X Games Munich (June 27-30), but Lasek doesn't just have to pack his skateboard for the trip to Germany. He also needs to pack his car. Lasek will be competing in RallyCross and can't wait to get behind the wheel after the event was called off due to rain at X Games Barcelona.

It's Miller Time at the annual 2013 Vans Pool Party contest hosted by the Vans Skatepark in Orange, CA. Michaela Eichenbaum catches up with Masters winner Chris Miller as he reveals a few of his favorite skaters including Pedro Barros, Rune Glifberg and his son, and fellow pro skater, Zach. Chris and some of the world's best pool skaters gathered at the legendary Combi Bowl for a chance to win $115,000 in cash prizes in front of a rowdy, yet knowledgeable, So Cal crowd. Seven-time Masters winner Miller rebounded from a poor showing at the 2012 event to top Steve Caballero in 2nd and Christian Hosoi in 3rd.
