Skier launches off a 255-foot cliff, sets world record, lands on head
This past winter, skier Jamie Pierre decided he wanted to be a world record holder. Rather than growing his fingernails out really long, he decided to attempt the record for the biggest cliff jump on skis. Pierre went to Grand Targhee, Wyoming, and jumped off a 255 foot cliff. He didn't exactly stick the landing. Instead, Pierre rotated backwards and ended up landing head first. He was still able to claim the record and amazingly Pierre skied away under his own power after friends dug him out of his landing hole.
