Your favorite German slingshot mastermind and probable super villain, Joerg Sprave, is back and badder than ever, converting a chintzy department store skateboard into a fully functional slingshot in his latest DIY laugh-along. Well, it’s official. Anthony Van Engelen, the 37-year-old founder of skateboarding’s two most nihilistic new brands in Fucking Awesome and Hockey; owner of last part in the year’s biggest video; and one our personal favorite skaters ever, is the 2015 SOTY… and all we can say is that we wish it had come sooner. Not because AVE has deserved it for awhile (though he has) and not because he’s a certified legend with a moving narrative of redemption (and one hell of a switch tre), but because now, in the year 2015, where hoverboards are real, everyone and their second cousin is on Nike flow, and Wallenberg hammers get dropped on Insta, Skater of the Year simply doesn’t matter anymore.

When Jason Park first exploded onto the skate scene, no one was sure whether or not he was a parlor trick or the real deal. Thankfully for skateboarding, however, Jason turned out to be the latter, churning out a steady stream of footage over the next few years while earning more than one or two Daewon Song comparisons in the process. If that seems like high praise, that's because it is, but trust us: Jason's new Sometimes Skateboards part backs it up. Check it out and prepare to have your mind blown once again.

In this episode of NKA Project, Nigel Alexander works with filmer and skateboarder Kevin Lozano to enhance some filming techniques with a Canon 7D. Watch the progression of how these couple of tips can take your shots from basic to professional in less then 5 minutes.
